John Boone is the founder of GUNS & KITTENS, a creative consultancy that partners with leading ad agencies and clients on a project basis. He has also been known to sport a hair-do like Ron Burgundy while playing "Ave Maria" on the banjo. John is the former creative director and founding partner of BOONEOAKLEY. Previously, John served as art director at The Martin Agency, TBWA Chiat/Day and Team One. Awards include The One Show, Cannes, Communication Arts, Webby's, SXSW, Time magazine's "Commercial Of The Year", USA Today's "TV Commercial Hall of Fame" and Comedy Central’s “World’s Funniest Commercials.”

John is the former co-creative director and founding partner of BooneOakley. For over 11 years, John's leadership helped BooneOakley win accounts like Nascar, MTV2, Mizuno, Ruby Tuesday, Carmax, State Farm, Bojangles, Bloom Grocery, Paramount Parks, Continental Tire and many more. During his tenure, John also helped lead BooneOakley to be named Ad Age's "Southeast Small Agency of The Year" as well as The One Club's "Best of The Digital Decade." With John's creative leadership, BooneOakley established an international reputation for buzz-worthy innovations by pioneering the world's first YouTube website and blowing up a Ruby Tuesday restaurant during a live web event. Other accolades include appearing on AMC's "The Pitch", being published in Google's "Creative Canvas" and Forbes' "Disruptors" series.
